Dimitris Mytilinaios, choreographer, dancer and SNF ARTWORKS Fellow 2019, has been selected to inaugurate the first and pilot year of ARTWORKS’s partnership with K3 Zentrum für Choreographie. During his stay in Hamburg, Dimitris will have access to a fully equipped dance studio at K3 where he can further develop his practice with focus on what constitutes the dancing body.
In his own words, his work questions the history of dance and choreography, the techniques which have been noted, analyzed and archived within the respective academic field:
“I seek for performing situations where dancers cannot completely carry out a given task and thus fall away from their own conceptions of performativity”.
His residency is supported by ARTWORKS through its founding donor the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) and will coincide with the Kampnagel International Summer Festival 2022.
